<p><strong>We are dedicated to providing the best in patient care, education, scientific advancement, and leadership in the areas of orthopaedic surgery and musculoskeletal medicine.</strong> The Department is in an extraordinary position to achieve excellence in these areas due to the combined resources of top hospitals (the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Westwood and the Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital in Santa Monica), outstanding outpatient clinics and ambulatory surgery centers, the University of California Los Angeles itself (a world-class comprehensive research campus), and one of the largest and most productive orthopaedic research facilities in the world (The J. Vernon Luck, Sr., M.D. Orthopaedic Research Center on the UCLA campus).</p>
